Allsorts Challenge; Week 637/8 - Add some sparkle

Hello. With the card in the end of this post I'll enter in the following challenge:

Allsorts Challenge; Week 637/8 - Add some sparkle

My mum needed a card as she had been invited to the 90th birthday of her brother's wife, Seija. As we had no idea of what the recipient likes or not even what her fav colour is I could not personalize the card. It would have been too easy to use a safe distinguished colourworld but I decided to take a risk with a soft coloured nature theme with a twist of bling. It was challenging to get all the sparkle on the cover in the pics as the mirri card showed a reflection of either me or my camera when I tried to take a close-up. The sentiment says Congrats in Finnish (Onnea).

I used the following dies

  • Heartfelt Creations, Scalloped Flourish Gateway and Elegant Swirl Gateway
  • Apple Blossom, bigger flower, butterfly, banners
  • Card Making Magic, smaller flower
  • Unbranded swirl

The sparkle was made with

  • mirri card
  • Stickles
  • rhinestones

Several challenges (2021-08-05)

Hello. With the card in the end of this post I'll enter the following challenges:

This is a slimline gatefold card (4"x 9").  The stamp, which is my fav floral stamp of my stash, is from a set called Hello Lovely by Uniko Ltd. It is not wide enough to fill a slimline card so I was browsing for an idea how to use it anyway. I saw a YT video of Jennifer McGuire Ink where one of her cards was a SL gatefold. Inspired by that video I cut two white backgrounds on which I stamped the flowers and coloured them with pencils. To "soften" the white background I swiped it with yellow Distress Ink. On the tag is the word "Congrats" in Finnish ("Onnea"), so this card goes for many occasions as you can write the detailed personal message on the inside of the card. The slimline cardbase, the inside page and the tags are cut with unbranded dies.
