Several challenges 2022-08-16

Hello. With this card I'll enter in the challenges listed at the end of this post. There you can also find the links to the challenges as well as the challenge and blog images. The card is a birthday card, it is CAS and OLC (lots of white space, no layers, no embellishments, no die-cuts, no embossing). This Uniko's peony cluster stamp is really big so I stamped only less than half of it on the card base to keep the card CAS. Of all the flower stamps in my stash it is my fav. Peony is also one of my fav flowers and I have a big bed of peonies in my garden. Once I had stamped the cluster I coloured it with coloured pencils. Then I swiped yellow Distress Ink around the cluster and stamped the sentiment with black VersaFine ink. The sentiment is Finnish and it means that "Today is your day". The inside page is yet white as I will handwrite the personalized birthday message later.

"Less is More" #470 (2022-08-05)

Hello! Please find in the end of this post my entry in the following challenge:

This birthday card is CAS. There is no layers on the card base and I have used no embellishments or die-cuts for the card.  I stamped the images between two diagonal score lines and coloured them with ink markers. The background I coloured with Distress Ink. I also added a sentiment on the inside and swiped several strokes DI over it. The stamps I have used are from several stampsets (free gifts in magazines).

Inkspirational Challenge #270 (2022-08-05)

Hello! With the card below I'll enter in the following challenge:

Inkspirational Challenge #270 - Photo Challenge

I have had this magazine freebie stampset with a VW Kleinbus for some time. It's been waiting for the right inspiration and finally it came, thanks to your challenge. I have used stamps from several stampsets, most of them mag freebies. I coloured the stamped images with ink markers and the background with Distress Inks.I added some Glossy Accents on the card windows to make them look more glassy. The card is for a just married couple on their way to spend their honeymoon.

Several Challenges 2022-08-02

Hello. With the card below I'll enter in the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge, Week 687 - Butterflies/Bugs

We Love Stamping, July challenge - ****Anything Stamped with the option of Hot Sunny Colours****

The other day I bought the August issue (no. 374) of the mag "Crafts Beautiful". The free gift that came with the mag was a stamp & die set of "Two Red Robins". It is a very summery set with bee/flower/apple related stamps. As I have a soft spot for bees my crafty fingers started to itch and I had to make something with the set. I had seen a YT video of Sam Calcott/Mixed Up Craft where she made a star shaped spring card (spring here is not the season but the springs between the layers of the card). I wanted to try out that design with hexagon shape as it would be perfect for the bee-theme. As I don't have hexagon dies I had to at first make templates for different sizes, then draw the shapes on the cardstock using the templates, fussy cut them out and glue them together in pairs. Between the pairs I added the springs. Before pairing the two smallest hexagons I first stamped on the smallest one the beehive and some bees and then I coloured them with ink markers. Lastly I added some Stickles on the wings of the bees. Under the largest hexagon there is a pocket for the sentiment. The stamped sentiment gives an option to use the card for any occasion as you can put the more detailed sentiment and personal message on the reverse side of the note.
