"Less is More" Challenge #465 - Rainbow

This is a card for two young women I know. They have just come out and moved together. I know I can't shelter them from all the dirt they'll get from narrow minded people but I can be there for them when/if they need an understanding senior.

There is only one layer on the card base. To keep it CAS there is no embellishments or die-cuts. The umbrella is first stamped and then coloured with colouring pencils in rainbow colours. The sentiment is handwritten to emphasize the personality of the message.

This is a birthday card for a young rocker in our inner circle, who will be 13 in the fall but this could as well be a birthday card for you as you rock too. Thank you for giving us these fab challenges. This card is a no layer card. There are no die-cuts or embellishments. Everything is stamped and/or inked straight on the cardbase with yellow, purple and black inks (except no. 13 and the Finnish word Onnea (=Congrats) are stickers).

Introducing Hugo the Gnome. He's real name in Gnomish is 21 letters long, I can't pronounce it and no use trying to write it. He's favourite time of the day is when the sun has just risen, birds are singing and the bees are buzzing. He's a very busy gardener. Today he is planting flowers. He has already dug a pit for them and fetched some fresh mold. Hugo's motto is stamped inside the card. This card is designed for a person who loves to plant/grow flowers.

There are no layers so everything is stamped and/or inked straight on the cardbase. I also tried to keep the card CAS.

Hello! With the card below I'll enter the following challenge: 

The Flower Challenge #68; Use a number

Say it with flowers they say.  So I made a simple birthday card to my good friend who likes orange color and bubbly drinks. I let the flowers tell her age. All the flowers are first stamped and then coloured with several ink pens. The background is coloured lightly with yellow ink. To the flowers I finally added some Stickles. The Finnish sentiment is stamped with black VersaFine ink and it says roughly:  "Congrats ...and now it's time for the champagne".

"Less is More" Challenge #463 - OLC + Off Centre

This card is CAS and OLC and hopefully off centre enough. I have used the Retiform tech and the theme is one of my favourites: musical theme. This is for a friend who plays instruments himself and it can be for his birthday but also for many other occasion, the occasion can be specified on the space inside the card. Everything is either stamped or coloured with inks straight on the card base.

I tried to keep my birthday card CAS and it is OLC so everything is stamped/inked on the card base using the Retiform tech.  No layers and no embellishments/die-cuts. The colour of the card base is very light turquoise but the camera didn't catch the colour with or without the flash. The retiform part of the card base is coloured with different shades of yellow (Distress Ink). For the sentiment I scored the card base twice and inked the space between the scores. The images are stamped with black VersaFine Ink. So here's  Happy Birthday to both Challenge Teams and thank you for organizing these challenges!

This is a birthday card for a lady who loves flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds. There is only one layer on the card base. In the retiform tech I used purple and yellow Distress Ink to divide the layer into sections, stamped the images and the sentiment with black Versafine ink, added some Stickles on the stamens of the flowers and on the bodies of the butterflies and hummingbirds. The sentiment is Finnish and means "Happy Birthday".
