We Love Stamping; March 2023

Hello. With the card below I'll enter in the following challenge:

We Love Stamping; March Challenge - Spring Inspiration

This double z-fold card is celebrating spring. The sentiment wishes a "Joyful Spring" to the recipient (in Finnish) . The daffodil stamps are from the stamp set that was a free gift in Simply Cards & Papercraft mag issue 240. I stamped them on a white card stock, which I brushed lightly with Broken China Distress Ink to soften the cold white. The bushes, bunnies and the small flowers are cut with dies. The daffodils are coloured with TriColour Aqua Markers.

Stamping Sensations & We Love Stamping; November challenge

Hello! With the card below I would like to enter in the following challenges:

Stamping Sensations; November challenge - Christmas

We Love Stamping; November challenge - Christmas

Season's Tweetings from Tweety. At first I made an oval stencil from a paper piece and inked the background through it, then I stamped the tweeties, the branch, the notes and the sentiment, coloured the tweeties with ink pens and added a little bit of Stickless on the branch. Then I glued the layer on the card base, added the ribbons, the patterned corners and the inside page.

We Love Stamping; September challenge

Hello. With this card I'll enter in your following challenge:

We Love Stamping; September challenge - A/G with stamping

Every now and then I'll get back to the Retiform tech.  In the past I have used the traditional tech, where diagonal lines cross each other but this time I added a little twist to it. I took a rectangle and traced its outline on a white card stock repeating this several times to form a grid. I saw this tech on YT video of Natasha Foote and decided to give it a go. To colour the rectangles I used Forest Moss, Brushed Corduroy and Tea Dye Distress Inks. The images are from several stamp sets with adventure theme and I stamped them with black VersaFine Ink. This masculine BD card is for one of our male friends and the images reflect his hobbies. One important hobby - fishing - is unfortunately missing as I don't have a stamp for it. Finally I glued the stamped card stock on the moss green card base.

Several Challenges 2022-08-02

Hello. With the card below I'll enter in the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge, Week 687 - Butterflies/Bugs

We Love Stamping, July challenge - ****Anything Stamped with the option of Hot Sunny Colours****

The other day I bought the August issue (no. 374) of the mag "Crafts Beautiful". The free gift that came with the mag was a stamp & die set of "Two Red Robins". It is a very summery set with bee/flower/apple related stamps. As I have a soft spot for bees my crafty fingers started to itch and I had to make something with the set. I had seen a YT video of Sam Calcott/Mixed Up Craft where she made a star shaped spring card (spring here is not the season but the springs between the layers of the card). I wanted to try out that design with hexagon shape as it would be perfect for the bee-theme. As I don't have hexagon dies I had to at first make templates for different sizes, then draw the shapes on the cardstock using the templates, fussy cut them out and glue them together in pairs. Between the pairs I added the springs. Before pairing the two smallest hexagons I first stamped on the smallest one the beehive and some bees and then I coloured them with ink markers. Lastly I added some Stickles on the wings of the bees. Under the largest hexagon there is a pocket for the sentiment. The stamped sentiment gives an option to use the card for any occasion as you can put the more detailed sentiment and personal message on the reverse side of the note.

Several challenges 2022-06-17

Hello. With the card below I'll enter in the following challenges:

AAA Birthday; Game # 38 - Flowers

🎂🎂🎂HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY TO THE WHOLE TEAM!!💐💐💐💐

This is a BD card for a young woman. The sentiment is in Finnish and it means roughly: "To the birthday girl". The rose stamp I used is printing also a shadow of the rose so in order to avoid the image getting all messed up when inking with several colours I first stamped the rose with gray, then masked the shadow part as much as I could and stamped the leaves with green and the flower part with red. The first three pics of the card are taken using the flash as the sun was hiding today. The last pic of the rose is taken without the flash.

The rosestamp and the inks I used:

+a sentiment stamp, a frame die and some sequins

Several Challenges 2022-05-01

Hello. With the card below I'll enter the following challenges (in alphabetical order):

Addicted to Stamps and More, Challenge #428 - Birthdays

Seize the Birthday, Challenge #237 - Butterflies or Hummingbirds

This is a birthday card for a lady who loves flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds. There is only one layer on the card base. In the retiform tech I used purple and yellow Distress Ink to divide the layer into sections, stamped the images and the sentiment with black Versafine ink, added some Stickles on the stamens of the flowers and on the bodies of the butterflies and hummingbirds. The sentiment is Finnish and means "Happy Birthday".
